Chinese Bamboo Shield
According to the history books, the first shield appeared in the Western Han Dynasty (206 B.C.- 9 CE) and was a rather oblong shield that soldiers could hold one handed.
It was bound to the left forearm of mounted soldiers. During the history of Chinese warfare the shape of the shield changed in many ways. Finally it became to circular shield in the Northern and Southern Dynasty (420-588 CE).
This shield is made of bamboo and cotton fabric so it's very light and strong Ideal to use in a 2 persons fight at a competition or demonstration !
